Sennheiser MKE 400 Shotgun Mic
Sennheiser has launched the new MKE 400 , a compact and highly-directional on-camera shotgun microphone designed to isolate and enhance the audio for videos .
The super-cardioid MKE 400 includes built-in wind protection and integrated shock absorption , while offering even more features to ensure high-quality recordings . A three-step sensitivity switch enables the MKE 400 to provide distortion-free sound in any environment , and a switchable low-cut filter focuses audio on the most essential frequencies for clarity and speech intelligibility . Interchangeable , 3.5mm locking coiled cables offer compatibility with DSLR / M cameras or mobile devices and a convenient headphone output allows users to monitor levels while recording .

FabFilter Timeless 3 Tape Delay Plug-In
FabFilter has announced the availability of Timeless 3 , the latest version of its popular tape delay plug-in .
Timeless 3 introduces a streamlined new interface , five feedback circuit effects , more filters , up to 16 delay taps , improved filter and saturation algorithms , a revised preset library , and more . With its dual-delay architecture and limitless modulation system , this delay offers both bread-and-butter echoes and creative effects .
The redesigned , darker-schemed interface provides intuitive visualization and tweaking of delay time , feedback , and mix settings , while the interactive filter display makes shaping the frequency response a snap , and the full-screen mode expands the GUI for better focus . Tonally , delays can be coloured with Timeless 3 ’ s five new “ one-knob ” feedback effect modules : add analog-style saturation and digital distortion with Drive and Lo-Fi ; soften , smear , and “ reverb-ify ” the signal with the Diffuse knob ; dial in instant compression or gating with Dynamics ; and shift the feedback up to an octave up or down with the Pitch processor . All five effects are also available as modulation targets .
Timeless 3 also provides six multimode filters with which to sculpt delays , tripling that of version 2 . The factory preset library has been rebuilt from the ground up to maximize its usability , incorporating Timeless 3 ’ s new feedback effects and filters , and reorganized to make it easier to find the effect needed for any situation .

Klark Teknik DN100 V2 Active DI Box
Klark Teknik has launched the DN100 V2 active DI box , succeeding the established DN100 .
With its high headroom , dynamic response , and sonic clarity , the DN100 V2 faithfully reproduces the character of electric and acoustic instruments and allows far more of the detail of musical performances to be captured . The DI is intended for professional applications where + 48 V phantom power is a standard feature on all mixing consoles , and its unique design results in a significantly higher clipping point than many other active DI Boxes , providing + 10 dBu output into a 2 kiloohm load .
This increased headroom means that much higher-level input signals can be accommodated without the need for an attenuating pad . Combined with a very low noise input circuit topology , DN100 V2 offers a very wide dynamic range , and only requires one -30 dB pad for use when connecting directly to instrument amplifier outputs . It is built to handle the rigours of life on the road , as a thick aluminium extrusion protects the electronics , and in turn is covered by a tough silicone rubber sleeve .
