Netflix Opening Toronto HQ
On April 27 , 2021 , Netflix announced that it would be taking up residence in Canada with a new headquarters in Toronto .
Prior to the announcement , Toronto was already the home of one of Netflix ’ s two Canadian Production Hubs , the other located in Vancouver . Through the hub , Toronto ’ s crews have worked on international productions such as Jupiter ’ s Legacy , The Umbrella Academy , and The Queen ’ s Gambit .
With the new office in Toronto , Netflix says it will expand its commitment to working with Canadian talent . Building on the success of uniquely-Canadian shows such as Schitt ’ s Creek , Blown Away , and Anne with an E , Netflix says it will work with Canadian creators and crews to bring stories from Canada to its more than 200-million subscribers around the world .
Brock McGinnis Joins Nationwide AV as VP of Sales & Operations
Nationwide Audio Visual has announced the appointment of Brock McGinnis , CTS , to the newly-created role of vice president of sales and operations .

McGinnis is well known in the audiovisual industry for his 20-year tenure leading the integration division of Westbury National . A frequent contributor to AV conferences , publications , podcasts , and social media , he has served on the board of the Music Industries Association of Canada as well as InfoComm and AVIXA committees and councils in the U . S . In 2017 , McGinnis became the first Canadian inducted into the System Contractor ’ s Hall of Fame .
Nationwide Audio Visual has been family-owned and operated since 1962 , with Quinlan at the helm since 2000 .
