PRODUCTS QSC AcousticDesign AD-S6 Transformer-less Surface-Mount Loudspeaker QSC has introduced the AD-S6, a transformer-less surface-mount 6.5-in. two-way loudspeaker. As part of the AcousticDesign Series, the loudspeaker is ideal for foreground and background music (BGM/FGM) applications, as well as in- stallations specifically requiring higher SPL foreground sound reinforcement. The AD-S6 loudspeaker is nearly identical to the AD-S6T, but QSC lowered the cost by removing the transformer and providing 16-ohm nominal impedance, making it ideal for use in low impedance distributed systems. Like the other loudspeakers in the AcousticDesign range, the AD-S6 is available in black or white and includes the X-Mount mounting system for easier installation that minimizes commissioning time and expense. Bittree Patch32A Dante Audio Patchbay Bittree has launched the Patch32A, which it is says is the first Dante audio patchbay to market. The Dante patchbay will interface with Dante Virtual Soundcard, countless Dante devices, and almost any analog component in the same system, including audio distribution equipment, DAWs, digital signal processors, mixing consoles, multitrack recorders, and video routers. The Patch32A is designed to streamline the integration of analog and digital network audio patching, and establishes a foundation for intercon- nectivity across facilities within central equipment rooms, production studios, and IT closets, among other locations. The patchbay supports sample rates ranging from 24-bit/44.1 to 192 kHz. The design utilizes balanced TT connections to Dante analog and digital conversions. Settings are configurable using Dante Controller, including sample rates and channel assignments to and from Dante networks. RME Digiface Dante & Digiface AVB Audio Interfaces RME has added the Digiface Dante and Digiface AVB to its Digiface line of audio interfaces. The Digiface Dante is a 256-channel, 192 kHz USB audio interface that combines a lightweight design with Dante network connectivity while supporting AES67. The BNC connections provide Word Clock I/O and can be switched to work with MADI, allowing for MADI and Dante to be used simultaneously, and enabling the unit to work as a simple bidirectional format converter in standalone mode. The Digiface AVB meets the growing need to distribute audio over a local area network. The Digiface AVB USB audio interface uses AVB to transfer up to 256 channels of audio between PC and audio networks. The integrated USB 3.0 connection allows up to 128 audio channels to be streamed back to the AVB network and another 128 channels to the computer — with sampling rates of up to 192 kHz. Users can adjust the channel sizes of streams between two and 32 channels as needed to ensure maximum compatibility with AVB audio devices.
