Expo-Scène Unites North
American Live Entertainment
Products Industry in Montreal
The fifth annual Expo-Scène trade show and
conference returned to the Palais des congrès de
Montréal from April 17-18, 2019. This year, there
were roughly 1,900 attendees from the North
American pro audio, lighting, audiovisual, video,
and multimedia technology markets. In the ex-
hibition hall, there were more than 80 exhibitors
showcasing their latest products and services.
The rebranded TEC Talks educational pro-
gram included a presentation from LS Media on
immersive audio, as well as from SFM/Digiflex on
the future of signal transport in live production.
GerrAudio hosted Digico console training and
there was also a panel discussion on environ-
mental responsibility in the live entertainment
industry.
“We are extremely proud of this fifth edition
of Expo-Scène! It was one of the biggest shows with more exhibitors – including eight first-time exhibitors – and more products and brands,”
Monique Corbeil, CITT’s national coordinator, tells Professional Sound. “This year, we enhanced the pre-show professional development
training and maintained the quality of the educational TEC Talks seminars component, which drew a vast audience. We wish to thank all our
presenters, sponsors, exhibitors, and, of course, the visitors for making Expo-Scène 2019 a huge success!
Next year’s edition of Expo-Scène will return to the Palais des congrès de Montréal from March 25-26, 2020.
