Kii Three Pro Studio Monitors
Kii Audio has released its flagship Kii Three Pro studio monitors . The monitors are designed to offer a compact solution for tasks that normally require a big main monitor system .
The Kii Three Pros are designed to provide a linear frequency response , ideal impulse response and phase coherence , but also boast 1,500 W per speaker divided across six drivers into a compact and lightweight enclosure . The Kii Three features the company ’ s Active Wave Focusing technology , which is a combination of a unique four-way DSP crossover filter with drive units mounted front , side , and back that “ throws ” the sound towards the listener instead of bathing the room in it . While cardioid beam forming as a technique of dispersion has been previously achieved , the Kii Three maintains a cardioid response over the full audio band . The wave front appears as if radiated from a single point just in front of the speaker , meaning that the time coherence of the wave front is fully maintained on and off axis . This translates to a wider sweet spot and spacious stereo field with accurate imaging .

Avantone AV10MHF & AV10MLF Replacement ent Speakers
Avantone has released the AV10MHF and AV10MLF speakers , which are designed to be replacements for the classic but discontinued Yamaha NS-10M . With the AV10MHF and AV10MLF speakers , Avantone Pro has reverse engineered the original drivers to reproduce the components faithfully , updating the materials to comply with RoHS requirements .
The AV10MHF high frequency replacement driver is physically and dimensionally exactly the same as the original and is a simple “ bolt in ” install that requires no changes to the cabinet in the installation process . The AV10MHF is a match throughout the frequency range , engineered with the same voicing as the original .
The AV10MLF low frequency driver is a near exact match from 20 Hz to the crossover frequency . Avantone has changed the cone design from a lapped seam to a single continuous press formed cone from the same supplier as the original . This allows for a higher level of quality control and consistency during the manufacturing process . Otherwise , the AV10MLF is physically and dimensionally exactly the same as the original .
