Genelec 7380A Smart Active Subwoofer
Genelec has released the 7380A Smart Active Subwoofer, which is designed to deliver both high SPL and an
extended low-distortion LF response in a compact enclosure.
The new flagship product in the Smart Active Monitoring subwoofer range, the 7380A can be easily integrated
into any monitoring system – from stereo to multi-channel, as well as part of a large-scale 3D Immersive setup .
Equipped with a newly designed Class-D amplifier section, plus the benefits of Smart Active Monitoring technology,
the 7380A pairs well with Genelec’s “The Ones” series of coaxial three-way monitors, particularly in the creation of
Immersive systems for those working with Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, and DTS:X formats.
Standing 26.97-in. in height with a width of 28.27-in. and depth of 19.37-in., the 7380A features an 800W Class-D
amplifier driving a custom 15-in. long-throw
woofer that, combined with Genelec’s LSE
spiral enclosure, produces an SPL of 119 dB
(123 dB peak) plus precise low-frequency
response down to 16 Hz.

Neve Preamp
Plug-In
Universal Audio has released the Neve
Preamp plug-in, which is an authen-
tic end-to-end circuit emulation of
a classic class-A, Neve mic preamp,
exclusively for UAD hardware and UA
audio interfaces.
The Neve Preamp plug-in combines
sonic attributes and features of both the
1073 and 1290 designs and provides all
the bandwidth and characteristics of
Rupert Neve’s original hardware design.
By modeling the dual-stage “Red Knob”
preamp and output amplifier, the Neve
Preamp plug-in replicates the sound and
behavior of the original preamp.
The Neve Preamp also supports
Universal Audio’s Unison technol-
ogy, giving UA audio interface users
the Neve preamp’s impedance, gain
staging, and circuit behaviors.UAD-2
hardware owners can also employ the
Neve Preamp plug-in for mixing and
tone shaping without leaving the box.
Thanks to its lower DSP usage, users can
place Neve Preamp plug-in instances
across multiple channels.
