NAB Show Welcomes Broadcast World to Vegas
The NAB Show returned to the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 7-12 , 2018 , welcoming around 103,000 attendees and more than 1,800 exhibitors from the global broadcast industry .
New for 2018 , the A . I . Experiential Zone showed how machine learning is transforming the media and entertainment industry . This educational showcase featured real-world applications and content workflows for automatic speech recognition , natural language processing ( NLP ), deep learning-based image and video analysis , and more .
The new NAB Show Podcast Studio was built with an IP infrastructure running the latest audio , video , and streaming technologies . During the show , the Podcast Studio featured special guests , including industry thought-leaders and renowned podcasters . The Post Production Campus featured 30-minute sessions presented by certified instructors , creative sessions by notable editors , and more . Other educational sessions were held on audio for VR , optimizing creative impact without increasing production costs , different approaches to sound acquisition and editing , and more .
