ADDAC System ADDAC901MM Mini-Monster Eurorack Frame
ADDAC System has announced its latest Eurorack frame , ADDAC901MM , or the Mini-MONSTER . Mini-MONSTER , which is available now and ships assembled , is the latest addition to the ADDAC AC family of MONSTER racks , measuring 18.5 ”( 47cm ) x 22.4 ”( 57cm ) x 18.1 ”( 46cm ). As the smallest mem-mber of the ADDAC MONSTER rack family , Mini-MONSTER features rows ( 15U ) x 85HP of rack space .
Sharing a similar aesthetic design as its larger siblings , the Mini-MONSTER rack is a classic plug and play frame constructed in aluminum with sidings in 18mm poplar plywood with a Wenge veneer . It features a left-hand side AC socket , robust side handles for transporting and a total of 5 busboards ( one per row ), each loaded with 19 connectors .
The Mini-MONSTER rack can handle Eurorack modules of just about any depth , with a maximum depth of 150mm on the third row . Power-wise , the rack is specified at 7000mA on + 12V and 7000mA on -12V, and + 5v is available on all busboards .
Meyer Sound 2100-LFC Low-Frequency Control Element
Meyer Sound has announced the 2100-LFC low-frequency control element , a new loudspeaker that extends the technology of the PANTHER large-format linear line array loudspeaker down to the lowest limits of audibility .
By pairing a potent Class D amplifier with a single , all-new 21-inch driver with four voice coils , the 2100-LFC produces a linear acoustic output suitable for more demanding applications . With an extended frequency response from 30 – 125 Hz , this performance is achieved in a loudspeaker that is more than one foot ( 30 cm ) narrower and about 20 percent lighter than the 1100-LFC product .
The frequency and phase response of the 2100-LFC is tailored to complement not only PANTHER but the entirety of Meyer Sound ’ s linear line array products . This makes the 2100-LFC a great fit for customers who already own 900-LFC or 750LFC products and want to expand their inventory .
Dekoni Audio XM5 Pads and Gel-Cooling Earpads
Dekoni Audio has completed the XM5 pad lineup and announced its gel-cooling earpads . The series started with the Platinum series , and the full Choice set is now available as well . The Choice Leather pads make for a worthy alternative to Dekoni ’ s previous Suede pads for those who prefer the smoother texture .
A commonly heard concern when it comes to changing out pads is adjacent to comfort : “ will they get hot on my head ?”. Dekoni ’ s pads use denser memory foam than what ’ s traditionally found on headphones , so they take more time to reach the same temperature as the user ’ s skin due purely to the larger amount of material . The gel pads use a thin layer of gel in front of the memory foam , and the gel is able to absorb more heat more quickly than the memory foam , helping to give a cooler , more comfortable experience .
