Solotech Position : Audiovisual Installation Technician

Region : Ottawa Full Time : Yes Permanent : Yes

Job Summary : Reporting to the Director of Operations , the Installation Technician is responsible for executing installation work and ensures the start-up of audiovisual equipment for our permanent installation projects .

Your day will look like this : •€ Installation of audiovisual equip- € ment and accessories for clients •€ Set up equipment , carry out tests € € and validation according to norms , € € plans , and specifications •€ Work closely with project managers € € in € order to know the specific needs € € of the clients •€ Familiarize the clients with the func- € € tioning of our equipment •€ Represent Solotech with clients •€ Ensure the trucks as well as the € warehouse are clean and € organized •€ Keep updated and in sufficient € quantity the inventory of the trucks ’ € € equipment •€ Manipulate , transport , and use tools , € € equipment , materials , and required € € vehicles to install audiovisual equip- € € ment •€ Remain up to date when it comes € € to new products and technological € € developments in the audiovisual field •€ Ensure to respect the health and € € safety rules and requirements appli- € € cable to the projects

Your profile : •€ CTA or Professional Diploma in € audio-visual / electronic or equiva- € € lent ( an asset ) •€ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience € € in the integration / installation of au- € € diovisual equipment field •€ Knowledge of sound systems , light- € € ing , video and / or video conference € € control equipment

•€ Knowledge of carpentry : chemical € € and mechanical anchorage , passing € € cabling , etc . •€ Possess the AV products manufac- € € turer ’ s certification ( an asset ) •€ Advanced knowledge of the MS € Office Suite •€ Knowledge of Autocad Viewer , an € € asset •€ Possess a valid driver ’ s license as € well as a good driving file . Possess a € € vehicle for occasional travel •€ Possess a valid passport ( an asset ) •€ Able to obtain the federal govern- € € ment ’ s security accreditation •€ Fluency in both official languages , € € spoken and written •€ Holds the ASP Construction training € € ( an asset )
