ously much more happening ( at a show ). And even from the point of designing a show – hours of prep time . Here , all the pieces are ready to go , everything is set up so I can have a show up in 20 minutes or half an hour at most . That ’ s great .”
Over time , Gorizzan ’ s toured with a variety of bands including Sloan and I Mother Earth , and , obviously , as a freelancer , he was hit hard when the pandemic was declared and the live entertainment world shut down . “ This work was sorely needed ,” he says , “ and , to be able to employ as many people as they have in a situation like this , that ’ s a rarity , and that makes Bespoke a special place .” Gorrizan also believes that virtual and hybrid will continue to be common in the future , particularly with companies like Bespoke AV and others dedicating more resources to take them to the next level . “ I think the engagement is going be much greater coming out of this ,” Wilson put in . “ I think more live events will have some sort of streaming component and we ’ ll see more ‘ second screen ’ situations where , even if you ’ re attending an event in person , you ’ ll likely still connect with some colleagues virtually .”
It ’ s the best of both worlds , he concludes : “ We ’ re all excited to go back to live audience events , obviously , but it ’ s nice to see our clients wrap their arms around the opportunities the virtual sphere presents . What we see coming out of this is a world where our virtual control rooms will be integrated into the on-site experience even more closely . If you imagine all of the video villages that get set up backstage , all of the audio infrastructure , and all the rest , perhaps we ’ ll be doing events at , for example , a convention centre and just sending feeds back to one of our control rooms – mixing and compiling the stream that was going out to the world from our offices instead of having to [ deploy ] temporary setups in every venue , every day . You ’ re still doing in-person shows , but sending copies out to be cut differently for a web stream , and you ’ re going to increase your live and virtual audience ’ s connectivity . So , additional screens , iPads , robots rolling around – the sky ’ s the limit and we ’ re excited to see where the technology goes .”
