Kalinowski as Director
of Sales for North America
Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) has announced
the appointment of Glenn Kalinowski as its new
director of sales for North America. In his new
position, Kalinowski manages and supports EAW’s
dealer network and client base throughout North
America, promoting product knowledge and
business development.
Kalinowski comes to EAW after 11 years at
Bose Corporation’s Professional Systems Division,
most recently serving as national major accounts
business manager. While at Bose, Kalinowski
earned several awards, including the company’s
Distinctive Service Award.

The 2019 edition of Prolight+Sound, which is being held concurrently with Musik-
messe from April 2-5 in Frankfurt, Germany, will introduce two new features: the
Broadcast + Production Forum seminar program and the Vintage Concert Audio
Show.
The Broadcast + Production Forum will be held on Friday, April 5 and feature
speakers presenting technological trends and future-oriented projects. It’s meant to
be a contact point between companies, decision makers, and users. Manufacturers of
products such as cameras, radio links, streaming encoders, picture mixers, broadcast
panels, and specialized audio applications have the chance to present their solutions
in 45-minute lectures.
At the Vintage Concert Audio Show, visitors will see and hear milestones from
four decades of concert PA systems. Over 200 exhibits on a special show area in
Forum.0 will present PA systems from the 1960s to ‘90s. On the Saturday following the
two trade fairs, April 6 th , the Vintage Concert Audio Show will go into extra time at
the new Musikmesse Plaza pop-up market.

Korg has announced a strategic alliance with
noted pro audio product designers Greg Mack-
ie and Peter Watts. Their company, M&W, has
been instrumental in the behind-the-scenes
development of products for numerous major
manufacturers over the last 15 years.
“Peter and I have been ‘gestating’ some
product concepts that are perfect for Korg,
and which we think will be well received in
the market. These guys have a powerhouse
engineering department and they are a joy to
work with,” says Mackie.
Korg says its first products designed by
M&W are slated for a third-quarter 2019 release.

of Tina Pike in the role of president and COO. As well, the
company has also named Wally Bieniawski as its new sales
representative for Ontario.
