MICHAEL BUBLÉ
For audio support on his Higher Tour , Canadian crooner Michael Bublé is again carrying a “ dual hybrid ” Meyer Sound reinforcement system , comprising both main stage arrays plus massive centre-hung arrays that function as an over-specified delay system when Bublé is on the main stage and as an in-the-round system when he occupies the B-stage . This time , however , the tour has slimmed down its audio footprint by replacing most former Leo Family and all M Series systems with 76 new Panther large-format linear line array loudspeakers .
The main stage system is anchored by twin front arrays , each with 14 Panther loudspeakers over four Leopard loudspeakers . The two side arrays each comprise 14 Lyon loudspeakers while the front fills are eight Ultra-X40 loudspeakers . Low-frequency power comes from dual flown arrays of six each 1100-LFC low-frequency control elements supplemented by four 900-LFC compact low-frequency control elements on the floor .
Music ’ s newest ORVILLE PECK outlaw Orville Peck spent much of 2022 on his Bronco Tour with band members Kristopher Bowering on drums , Kyle Connolly on bass , Duncan Jennings on guitar , and Bria Salmena on keys , guitar , and backing vocals . The year wrapped up at the Greek Theater where Peck hosted “ Orville Peck ’ s 4 th Annual Rodeo ” featuring multiple artists performing in the classic Los Angeles venue .
The tour relied heavily on local venue production but carried an IEM system manned by monitor mixer Nate Peterson , consisting of a Midas M32 console , and JH Audio monitors , sub-snake , and splitter with a full complement of Heil Sound mics for the band . Orville Peck ’ s FOH mixer , Roberto Pagano , found the Heil PR31BW to his liking for a multitude of instruments on stage including most of the drum kit , guitar cabinets and congas . For vocals he is using all Heil PR37s .
METRO CHICAGO
Ayre Productions of Chicago is a turnkey , full event production and system integration solution company who recently upgraded the existing loudspeaker system at classic music venue Metro to a d & b A-Series loudspeaker system . “ The A-Series helped in a huge way , by being able to focus audio onto the main floor and help to create an even dispersion across it . Adding the balcony fills gave the balcony its own “ little ” yet powerful presence as it was never there before ,” says John Wagner , co-owner of Ayre Productions . d & b A-Series is a system that is as flexible as a point source cluster , as controllable as a line array , and introduces advanced features that alter the reality of perceived solutions to challenging application realities . Variable splay angles allow arrays of up to four A-Series loudspeakers to adapt precisely to venue shapes in fine increments . Broad distribution is achieved by flying in either horizontal or vertical configurations with a minimal number of loudspeakers .
RAINBOW STUDIO
Rainbow Studio in Oslo , Norway , has upgraded to Dolby Atmos , a move made in close collaboration with Johannes Mollø-Christensen from the Norwegian pro audio distributor ProLyd . The final result includes a Harrison console , Dynaudio Core 59 , Core 47 , Core Sub , DAD AX32 audio-routing and conversion units , and an Avid Pro Tools HDX3 system .
Rainbow Studio is now ready for handling several different immersive workflow scenarios – Dolby Atmos mixes from scratch , as well as upmixing to Dolby Atmos from stems . Furthermore , the system has also been designed for placing elements in the three-dimensional , immersive sound space at the recording stage , which opens up completely new and creative possibilities for the artists , composers , producers , and performers who record at Rainbow Studio .
