Renkus-Heinz SX / SA28 Low-Profile Subwoofer
Renkus-Heinz has added to its S Series line with the SX / SA28 – an extremely compact , low-profile subwoofer .
The SX / SA28 allows for flexible and discreet placement in a variety of install and portable scenarios . Available in both passive ( SX28 ) and powered ( SA28 ) models , the compact dimensions and low profile allow the new subwoofer to be positioned under seating , under low stages , soffits , and incorporated into fixed furnishings . This offers flexibility to the designer and integrator without compromising system performance . In addition , multiple units can be arranged to create cardioid , end-fire , and steered low frequency arrays .
The SX / SA28 is designed to extend low frequency response and increase system headroom in conjunction with Renkus-Heinz full range loudspeakers . It also offers an ideal low frequency complement for use with many of Renkus-Heinz ’ s other systems , such as the Iconyx and ICC Series . Extending overall frequency response to below 45 Hz , the highly efficient design provides output levels normally associated with considerably larger enclosures . The SX / SA28 also utilizes a pair of long-excursion , high-efficiency 200mm drive units mounted in a compact and sturdy , black or white painted plywood cabinet .
Alcons QRP20 Pro-Ribbon Point Source Column
Alcons has introduced the QRP20 , which is a two-way column array system with high-Q directivity for increased projection control to be used as a vertical sound system , for both permanent and portable applications .
The QRP20 is specifically designed for applications where fidelity response needs to be projected with wide horizontal and narrow vertical coverage , or applications where intelligibility-overdistance is required . Loaded with the RBN401 4-in . pro-ribbon driver on a “ Morpher ” lens , the system offers very high throw efficiency and projection control due to the pro-ribbon ’ s all-natural cylindrical wavefront . Its transient response and unusual high peak power handling ( 800W at 200ms ) improve intelligibility from the lowest to the highest SPL with a 1:15 RMS-to-peak dynamic range , while offering maximum gain-beforefeedback , according to the company . The flat frequency response and the fast impulse response of the RBN mid-high frequency transducers , in combination with the sharply controlled dispersion , brings maximum gain-before-feedback up to directly in front of / under the system .
AUDAC ARES5A Loudspeakers
AUDAC has released the ARES5A two-way stereo active loudspeakers .
The 40W speakers feature an integrated amplifier , stereo line input , and a balanced terminal block connection , allowing a convenient connection to any kind of audio source . When no input signal is detected , the auto-standby mode reduces power consumption , making the ARES5As Energy Star compliant . A switch at the back of the device enables and disables this audio standby mode when needed .
With these speakers , AUDAC has focused on installer convenience . The ABS enclosure and mounting bracket blend into the cabinet itself , allowing the loudspeaker to be installed close to a wall . The loudspeakers can be mounted both horizontally and vertically with an inclination up to 45 degrees on both sides , enabling installers to position it in the right direction . Because the bracket itself consists of two 45-degree corners , installation in corners or the ceiling can easily be achieved . In addition , AUDAC constructed an optional MBK455 angled mounting bracket set , which permits an extra inclination of 90 degrees when needed .
