Eventide SplitEQ Advanced EQ Plug-In
Eventide has released SplitEQ , an advanced equalization plug-in featuring its Structural Split technology . The company says that the SplitEQ plug-in works in a fundamentally different way from traditional EQs . It ’ s a new approach for corrective and creative rebalancing , enhancing , repairing , and widening any musical signal or other audio source .
SplitEQ is a parametric EQ with eight bands of precise , musical filters . What ’ s new and different is Eventide ’ s Structural Split engine , which divides the incoming audio into separate Transient and Tonal streams that feed the eight bands . This approach makes common EQ problems easier to solve , even in a complex mix , and opens up new musical possibilities .
Also , SplitEQ takes the sound of structure into account . It splits any sound into two streams , mimicking human perception of its tonal and transient elements . After that , the user can cut or boost only that part of the sound on which they ’ re focused . SplitEQ can also be a creative tool for adding dimension to mixes through its independent Left / Right and Mid / Side panning options .

Fulcrum AHS Series Steerable Large-Format Array Modules
Fulcrum Acoustic has released the AHS Series of digitally-configurable coaxial horns , which are higher-output versions of its existing AH and AH4 products .
Using Fulcrum ’ s TQ processing combined with proprietary beam-forming algorithms , the AHS Series products provide improved pattern control and well-defined coverage for long-throw applications . The AHS line is particularly useful in scoreboard systems in large-format sports venues , where architecture and scoreboard designs present challenges that are difficult for conventional line array loudspeakers to overcome . The modular design allows for stacking multiple AHS speakers that scale to the distance and vertical coverage requirements of a venue . Multiple HF horns combine coherently to provide the output necessary to combat HF air loss , which can be substantial in stadium-scale applications . AHS modules are designed to be stacked as needed to increase projection and control .
