Røde AI-Micro Compact Dual-Channel Interface
Røde has released the AI-Micro , an ultra-compact dual-channel interface for easily recording high-quality audio to a mobile device or computer .
The AI-Micro features two microphone inputs with high-quality preamps and can record high-resolution 24-bit / 48kHz audio . These are auto-sensing inputs that detect whether a TRS or TRRS microphone is connected and automatically adapt to accommodate , with no adaptors needed . Input 1 can also be configured as a single stereo TRS input . This means that virtually any microphone with a 3.5mm output can be connected to the AI-Micro . The AI-Micro can be used with the entire suite of Røde apps for expanded features and functionality , on-the-go configuration , and broadcast-quality recording on any device .
The AI-Micro is designed to connect seamlessly to smartphones , tablets , and computers via its universal USB output . It is plug-and-play compatible with Mac , Windows , iOS , and Android devices , and comes with high-quality USB-A , USB-C , and Lightning cables .
Audix A231 Studio Vocal Microphone
Audix has introduced its latest large-diaphragm studio vocal microphone , the A231 . Sporting the distinctive gold-plated brass band also seen on the SCX25A instrument mic , the A231 can be used for lead and backing vocals , spoken word and voiceover applications , and acoustic instrument miking with its clean , powerful sound .
Inside the microphone is a 33mm , true condenser capsule featuring a precision-tensioned diaphragm with gold deposition all the way to its far edges . This produces an effective diaphragm area approximately 25 % larger than that of a typical largediaphragm condenser mic , and results in a sound that is both neutral and rich , according to the company . A cardioid pickup pattern offers a predictable proximity effect and enhanced off-axis rejection .
The capsule feeds circuitry that is ultra-quiet and an active-driven shield protects the signal path from interference and capacitive coupling . An internal shockmount nearly eliminates touch noise , enabling the A231 to be used across a wide variety of environments without the need for an external shockmount .

Studio Technologies is now shipping the StudioComm System with Dante Support , consisting of the Model 792 Central Controller and the Model 793 Control Console .
Users can utilize the latest StudioComm System to conveniently monitor highchannel-count Dante digital and analog audio sources while maintaining audio quality . The system incorporates an internal 16-channel architecture , providing direct support for a range of surround audio applications . Audio level control and processing is performed in 32-bit programmable logic , which helps to ensure that excellent audio quality is maintained . With Dante digital and analog audio inputs and outputs and an extensive set of operating resources , the system can be seamlessly integrated into virtually any contemporary facility , the company says .
The Model 793 serves as the system ’ s “ command centre .” It provides quick access to all monitoring functions and a direct view of status information . The Model 792 contains all the circuitry required to support the Dante digital and analog audio input and output signals . The 1U unit links with the Model 793 using a nine-conductor D-subminiature cable . An integral web server allows fast and flexible configuration of the unit ’ s Ethernet networking , Dante , and analog audio performance .
