Sound Devices Joins Audiotonix Group
Audiotonix has announced the acquisition of U . S . -based Sound Devices LLC as part of its expanding group . The transaction further extends the Audiotonix professional solutions for audio production environments . The Audiotonix group also comprises Allen & Heath , Calrec , DiGiCo , DiGiGrid , Group One Limited , KLANG : technologies , and Solid State Logic .

The acquisition coincides with co-founder Jon Tatooles ’ departure from Sound Devices after 23 years . Co-founder Matt Anderson , who has been chief engineer of Sound Devices since inception and CEO since 2013 , will continue to serve in both roles .

L-Acoustics Creations Names Mike Sumner as Business Manager for U . S . & Canada
L-Acoustics Creations , the division focused on bringing professional sound systems and immersive sound spaces to residential , marine , and architectural environments , has appointed Mike Sumner to the position of business manager . He is based in L-Acoustics Americas ’ headquarters in Westlake Village , CA .

Sumner spearheads the growth of the L-Acoustics Creations brand throughout the United States and Canada , reporting to L-Acoustics Creations Global Business Manager Nick Fichte , based in the U . K . Sumner ’ s responsibilities include exploring new business opportunities , developing sales targets and strategies , gathering and sharing market intelligence , building and supporting the brand ’ s Certified Integrator network , and collaborating with the manufacturer ’ s application and communications teams , among other duties .
Sumner brings over a decade of experience in residential audio . He spent nearly eight years with Harman International ’ s Luxury Audio / Lifestyle Division working as U . S . team lead and senior global field support engineer . He also served as senior audio consultant and luxury / pro audio coordinator for the Lifestyle division ’ s New York City operations . Prior to that , he held managerial positions with both Bose and Adorama , plus operated a personal technology consultancy .
PK Sound Appoints Trevor Grenier & Darryl Ross to New Posts
In October , PK Sound announced the appointments of Trevor Grenier and Darryl Ross to the newly-created positions of senior partner support and senior applications support , respectively . The two comprise the core of the company ’ s Brand Team alongside Andrew King , PK ’ s senior brand support , and report to Chief Strategy Officer James Oliver .
Grenier originally joined PK Sound in 2011 and has served in a variety of roles leading up to his most recent stint as senior account
TREVOR GRENIER manager since 2016 . Going forward , Grenier will assist PK ’ s international distribution network and PK Alliance partners with logistic , operational , and technical support .
Ross joined PK Sound in 2017 following several high-profile posts with production technologies companies , including TMB , A . C . Lighting , Christie Lites , and others . In his new role of senior application support , Ross will assist PK partners and users with system design and deployment , liaise on product development and improvement , and lead development
