NAMM Reveals Educational Tracks for Virtual ‘ Believe in Music Week ’
NAMM has revealed the educational program as part of its virtual Believe in Music Week . Taking place in January 2021 , it will offer 150- plus professional development and training sessions for all sectors of the music products , pro audio , and entertainment technology industries . Free to all registrants , Believe in Music Week will offer four main educational tracks for attendees : Audio Production and Music Technology , Business , Entertainment Technology , and Artists . The two days of educational sessions will be held Jan . 20 th and 21 st and will offer a mix of lengths and formats .
PREVIEW OF NEW BELIEVE IN MUSIC PLATFORM
Programming in the Audio Production and Music Technology section includes TEC Tracks , a series of big-picture sessions covering high-profile topics in recording , live sound , and music business . Highlights from this series include interviews with top producers , engineers , and artists such as Dave Cobb , Tom and Chris Lord-Alge , Suzanne Ciani , and more . Also featured in this track , A3E ( Advanced Audio + Applications Exchange ) will offer future-forward education on how next-generation content creation is reshaping the entertainment industry , and the Audio Engineering Society ( AES ) will discuss streaming live performances , next steps for the live event industry , mastering mixes , and careers in pro audio . Additionally , Audinate will offer free Dante certification training , including updated programs for levels one and two .

Shure Acquires Stem Audio to Expand Its Portfolio of Conferencing Audio Solutions
Shure has acquired California-based Midas Technology , Inc ., also known as Stem Audio , which specializes in providing a suite of products including table , ceiling , and wall microphones as well as loudspeakers , control interfaces , and hubs . This acquisition also includes Midas ’ Phoenix Audio Technologies brand .
With the acquisition of Stem Audio , Shure will be able to further expand and diversify its offering of microphones , wireless microphone systems , in-ear monitors , conferencing systems , and more , while Stem Audio will benefit from the global infrastructure and support capabilities that Shure provides . ° The companies say they will continue to operate separately as integration plans for sales and support are finalized . Future plans for the respective product portfolios will be shared later . In the meantime , customers will continue to buy and receive support for Stem Audio products from Stem Audio ’ s current channels .
