Genelec 1032C Nearfield Monitors
Genelec has introduced the 1032C two-way nearfield monitors with Smart Active Monitoring (SAM).
Based on the 1032A nearfield monitor launched in 1992 but with modern improvements like Smart Active Monitor-
ing, the 1032C fuses a suite of contemporary technologies with the most popular qualities of the original, including
the same drivers, acoustic design, and soffit-mountable classic styling. The result is a significantly upgraded monitor
built for modern music, post-production, and broadcast studios, but which retains the heritage and appeal of both its
“A” and “B” version predecessors.
Smart Active Monitoring is the foundation for the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software application. Just
as the first 1032 included rear-panel DIP switches to allow users to calibrate their system for their working environ-
ment, now the 1032C adds to those switches a precise and easy-to-achieve auto-calibration system.

Yamaha NXAMP MK2 NEXO Amplifiers
Yamaha Professional Audio has announced two new additions to the NEXO range of NXAMP TD controllers. The NXAMP 4x2 MK2 and
NXAMP 4x1 MK2 amplifier models are the result of a collaboration between R&D engineers from NEXO and parent company Yamaha
Corporation Japan.
The amplifiers present NEXO’s DSP control in lighter, sleeker 2U packages with front panel touch
screen control giving direct access to all essential parameters. A native, dual Ethernet port
offers integration with NEXO proprietary NeMo system management software.
The amplifiers can be remote-controlled and daisy-chained via a standard remote
control card with optional Dante, EtherSound, and AES/EBU network cards
available. Four analog inputs use cascaded converters for low output noise, and
four digital inputs are available through the rear panel expansion card slot offering
optional AES/EBU, EtherSound, Dante, or AES67 inputs, all with automatic analog
fall-back.

Eventide H9000 Effects Processor
Eventide has released the H9000, a network-ready 16-DSP, multi-channel rackmount audio effects processor featuring eight times the
processing power of the current-generation H8000.
The H9000 features four quad core ARM processors serving as 16 DSP engines, eight channels of analog audio I/O, AES/EBU, ADAT, 16 USB
audio channels, and, optionally, connection to standard audio networks, including MADI, Dante, Ravenna, and more. Multichannel processing
makes the H9000 a suitable platform for surround sound and for processing several tracks of audio simultaneously. Also, the H9000 introduces
the concept of FX Chains, allowing users to connect any set of four effects with flexible routing. FX Chains can be created to act as a voice
channel, a guitar pedal board, or a modular synth with effects.
The H9000’s remote control application, emote, is available for users working in the box or over an audio network.
