Registration Now Open for NAB Show New York
Registration is now open for the 2022 edition of the NAB Show in New York City , taking place from Oct . 19-20 . As the two organization resume their pre-pandemic partnership , NAB ’ s New York show will be co-located with the Audio Engineering Society ’ s New York Convention at the Jacob Javits Center . Unique for this year , these two events will share a single exhibit hall to create a more “ robust attendee experience and costefficient solution for our vendor community ,” according to organizers .
Along with the NAB Show , other conference programs will be held during the week , including the Cybersecurity for Broadcasters Retreat on Oct . 17-18 , Post | Production Conference NYC on Oct . 18 th , The Streaming Summit on Oct . 18 th , and TV2025 : Monetizing the Future on Oct . 19 th .
Exhibits Pass registrants receive full access to NAB Show New York and AES exhibits as well as education on the show floor , including an experiential zone featuring special theatres , demonstrations , and networking activities .

RIP : QSC ’ s Scott Lombardo
With deep sadness , QSC announced that friend , former colleague , and industry veteran Scott Lombardo passed away on April 6 , 2022 , after a long illness . During his nine-year tenure at QSC , Lombardo led key initiatives for the company , both as director of global e-commerce , and most recently as regional director for live sound . The company says Lombardo will be most fondly remembered for his strength , kindness to others , and his boundless passion for building and nurturing lasting relationships .
Over his more than 30-year career in the professional audio and music industries , Lombardo held a variety of sales and executive positions at companies including Fishman Acoustic Amplification , Gibson , Fender , Mesa Boogie , Sam Ash Music , and Scotch Plains Music Center .
“ Scott and I worked together for six years , with him reporting to me for four of those . After about a year of him working for me , we were kind of butting heads with each other ,” says QSC Professional Director of Sales for North America , Perry Celia . “ One day he said to me , ‘ As my manager , don ’ t just ask or tell me what you need , inspire me – that ’ s how I roll .’ That one line
SCOTT LOMBARDO from Scott changed everything ; it completely changed my relationship with him and the relationship with my entire team . He taught me that everyone needs to be inspired in their work . From there we became close friends ; I will miss talking to him several times a day , about business or personal issues . Scott was just always there . He will really be missed by all of us at QSC .”
QSC sends its heartfelt condolences to Lombardo ’ s wife , Jenn , and the extended Lombardo family at this difficult time .
