64 Audio U6t Universal In-Ear Monitor
64 Audio has released the U6t universal in-ear monitor . The six-driver U6t has been designed for touring professionals looking for a cost-effective option and incorporates all of the properties of 64 Audio ’ s A6t custom IEM into a universal option .
The U6t is a balanced natural sounding earphone , slightly set apart from 64 Audio ’ s other UIEM models by offering a softer presentation of a mix , the company says . Using the various included Apex modules and ear-tips allows the listener to further customize the sound of the U6t based on the needs of the music . The U6t also features LID ( Linear Impedance Design ) and patented Apex ( Air Pressure Exchange ) technologies . LID is exclusive to 64 Audio and is meant to ensure a consistent frequency response regardless of the source . Apex is a pneumatically interactive vent that releases air pressure in a sealed ear canal . This venting alleviates listener fatigue and opens the soundstage . All of 64 Audio ’ s current IEMs feature Apex technology and comes in three variations ( mX , m15 , and m20 ) depending on the model . The company says that unlike other venting solutions , Apex preserves the bass frequencies and produces a more open soundstage , which helps the listener distinguish individual instruments . The Apex module is also engineered with features to prevent vent-clogging and wind noise . Its compact and durable construction is nearly maintenance-free , designed for demanding users .
