KRK has announced the expansion of its Classic line of studio monitors with the addition of 7- and 8-in . models .
KRK ’ s Classic active two-way monitors feature bi-amped Class A / B amplifiers with a built-in automatic limiter and a low-resonance enclosure for minimized distortion and colourization , as well as the optional ability to engage the + 2 dB KRK Bass Boost .
Like the Classic 5 , the new Classic 7 and Classic 8 utilize a 1-in . textile , soft-dome tweeter paired with either a 7- , or 8-in . glass aramid woofer , depending on the size monitor selected , delivering a clear midrange and tighter bass . KRK Classic monitors feature a front-slotted bass port , which reduces boundary coupling and allows for flexible positioning within a room . It also is designed with a preinstalled hi-density foam pad to decouple the speaker enclosure from the surface , helping with clarity and accurate frequency response .
With high- and low-frequency controls , users can adjust the monitors ’ sound to their environment and preference , adding versatility and improved accuracy for mixes that translate in any production environment . Additionally , multiple input connections ( XLR , 1 / 4-in ., RCA ) allow for universal connectivity , making it seamless to integrate Classic monitors into any studio setup .

Gator Frameworks Metal Pop Filter
Gator Frameworks has released a new metal pop filter ( GFW-POPFILTER-MTL ), which includes slatted vents for air flow while being lightweight , adjustable , and easy to disinfect .
The metal pop filter saves recordings from annoying popping sounds often heard during vocal takes when consonants are produced . Slatted vents on the metal grille are designed to angle airflow down towards the ground , leaving a clean vocal take without pops and plosives . To use it , simply attach the pop filter to any standard microphone stand or boom arm up to 18mm in diameter using the C-clamp and then place it directly in front of the vocal microphone . Lightweight and adjustable , the pop filter weighs under 1 lb . and provides 12.4 in . of gooseneck length .
