Registration Open for AES New York Convention
CETEC’S VICTORIA PARKER
Registration is now open for the Audio Engineering Society’s 147 th International Con-
vention, happening in New York City from Oct. 16-19, 2019.
Honouring the convention’s theme, “Inspire,” AES New York will offer four days of
comprehensive technical presentations and events, three days of audio exhibitions
and demonstrations, social events, and more, presenting programming to enhance the
knowledge and capabilities of all audio industry professionals.
As well, AES New York 2019 will once again be co-located with the NAB Show New
York. Registration at any level for the AES convention will give attendees access to the
NAB Show New York exhibition floor and the content in the NAB Show New York’s Core
Package.

CETEC Group Adds Reps for
Ontario, Quebec & Atlantic
Canada
CETEC Group has announced two new hires
covering Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic
Canada. Victoria Parker is now CETEC’s man-
ufacturer’s representative in Ontario while
Charles Cadieux serves in the same capacity
for Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
Parker entered the AV industry with
Lightware Canada and was most recently
a sales representative for AVL Media Group.
Having started in AV and stage lighting
equipment rental, Cadieux transitioned into
sales and system integration 15 years ago.
He brings with him over 30 years of audiovi-
sual and lighting knowledge and customer
service experience.

Sennheiser Acquires Majority Stake in VR/AR Audio
Specialist Dear Reality
Sennheiser has taken a majority shareholding in Dear Reality GmbH, which specializes
in spatial audio algorithms and VR/AR audio software. Dear Reality will continue to
operate as a separate company based in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Sennheiser says that customers will be able to rely on existing dearVR products and
can anticipate joint VR/AR workflows by Sennheiser and Dear Reality. Uwe Cremering,
responsible for AMBEO Immersive Audio at Sennheiser, will support the company as a
third CEO alongside founders Achim Fell and Christian Sander.
