Expanded PLASA Show Seminar Program Announced
The PLASA Show , which will be held from Sept . 17-19 in London , U . K ., has revealed its enhanced educational program that is set to deliver more content than before and will feature a diverse range of subjects . Organizers say it will look at topical issues , innovative concepts , and deliver insight into the world of entertainment technology .
The first sessions to be announced take place in the Audio & AV Theatre and include : sound designers Gareth Fry and Pete Malkin talking about their work on one-man Broadway show The Encounter ; veteran industry journalist Phil Ward hosting two panel sessions entitled “ 360 Degrees of Sound ” and “ Was Le Corbusier Deaf or What ?;” Jon Burton imparting his “ 10 Top Tips for Touring Engineers ;” and “ The Ins and Outs of Microphones .” Additional shorter sessions will take place in the new Fast Track Theatre . Primacoustic ( a division of Radial Engineering ) has restructured its in-house custom install and AV contractor sales team . The changes are meant to better address the growing market for acoustic materials , while adding the additional responsibilities of two other Radial brands , Hafler and Jensen Transformers , to the sales team ’ s tasks .
To better support independent sales reps , contractors , and regional distributors , Primacoustic has realigned the U . S . and Canadian market by dividing it into three territories . The east is handled by Senior Territory Manager Steve Dickson , the central territory by Juan Carlos Bolomey , and the west by James Wright .
“ Our realigned team can now better support the network of independent sales reps that work with our customers in each territory ,” comments Sales Manager Roc Bubel .
