Rendez-vous 2017, CITT/ICTS’s annual trade
show and conference, will be heading to the Im-
perial Theatre and Saint John Theatre Company
in Saint John, NB from Aug. 9-12.
This year’s event will feature a similar schedule to that which was introduced last year. The trade show will have visiting hours over a two-
day span on Thursday and Friday. The new Product Show ‘n Tell Breakfast will kick off the Thursday morning with a Corporate Luncheon to
follow. Thursday night will feature the always-popular Swag Bingo. Friday will feature the Ladies of the Backstage Happy Hour and Saturday
will be the Caucus Plenary Breakfast and CITT/ICTS Awards Banquet in the evening. The annual general meeting will return to an AGM Lun-
cheon on Saturday.
The conference programming this year includes such topics as: Scenic Historic Techniques – Painting Masterclass; Major System Reno-
vations in Existing Theatres; and a Performing Arts Safety Awareness Workshop. Recently announced additions to the conference schedule
include Microphone Techniques for Live and Theatrical Sound, Major System Renovations in Existing Theatres, and Staging the Scottish Rite:
Masonic Scenery Design.
