SFM WELCOMES NEW COORDINATOR FOR TAG

YAMAHA PROFESSIONAL AUDIO NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF COMMERCIAL AUDIO SALES
The Professional Audio Division of Yamaha Corporation of America has announced the promotion of Paul Furtkamp to director of commercial audio ( CA ) sales . Furtkamp began his career at Yamaha Corporation of America as a district manager in 1986 and by 2004 had ascended to the position of national sales manager .
“ Paul has shown great skill leading the commercial audio sales team for North America ,” says Alan Macpherson , GM of Yamaha Professional Audio . “ As we grow the division , his strategic vision will be invaluable .”
Related specifically to Furtkamp ’ s promotion , the company has created two new regional sales manager positions . District managers Jonathan Peirson ( West ) and Doug Staab ( East ) have been promoted to take on the new regional management roles and will continue representing commercial audio dealers in geographically optimized sales territories . Staab and Peirson will be responsible for district managers within the East and West territories of Canada and the U . S ., respectively . Two additional district managers have been hired for the CA Commercial Installation Solutions ( CIS ) product line , Randy Riebe and Julian Williams . As well , Preston Gray has been hired as a dedicated NEXO technical sales district manager . Gray , along with the new regional and district managers , will report to Furtkamp .

SFM has announced that Jean-Michel Berezoutzky has joined the company as the coordinator of the AV Technical Application Group ( TAG ). TAG acts as a direct link to customers and provides training , technical support , and design assistance for installations and concepts involving SFM ’ s products .

Berezoutzky has nearly 25 years of experience in the professional AV industry . As the coordinator of the TAG , Berezoutzky ’ s main focus will be ensuring that all clients are properly serviced . He will also be organizing the daily activities of several engineers specializing in SFM ’ s separate lines to ensure that the group is run efficiently and professionally .
“ We have to give our customers the best service and make things easy for them ,” Berezoutzky says . “ Without our customers , SFM wouldn ’ t exist , so my main goal is that the customer is treated like a king .”
