Universal Audio ( UA ) has introduced the first microphone lineup in its 60-year history . PreSonus AudioBox GO Portable Audio Interface
PreSonus has launched the AudioBox GO , its smallest , lightest , and most portable audio interface .
The company says the AudioBox GO is compact enough to throw in a gig bag and powerful enough to be the centerpiece of a home studio . The bus-powered interface connects via USB-C directly to Apple and Android mobile devices , as well as desktop and laptop computers , and is class-compliant , requiring no drivers or special applications . Designed to meet the needs of those new to recording , as well as those looking for a flexible , mobile solution , the AudioBox GO is loaded with connections and allows recording at up to 24-bit , 96 kHz resolution for professional results . The combo mic / line input can be used to connect microphones or synths and features PreSonus ’ XMAX-L preamp design . XMAX-L delivers clean , articulate sound with low noise , optimized for bus power . A second instrument input is provided to track guitar or bass simultaneously . Avantone Pro CLA-400 Amplifier
Avantone Pro has introduced the CLA-400 , a classically-designed Class A / B amplifier designed to be paired with large passive monitors . It ’ s the bigger brother to the CLA-200 studio reference amplifier .
The CLA-400 can generate over 400W per channel into an 8Ω load , lending its use as a good fit for medium to large passive monitors in a studio environment with its standard 3U rack-mount chassis . The CLA-400 is a dynamic , high-output , high-resolution , full-range system built the old-school way — as a classically-designed igned Class A / B amplifier . As such , Avantone Pro says it paid particular attention to creating an amplifier in the traditional studio style , with ample analog VU ( Volume Unit ) meters , high-quality Japanese components , and a toroidal transformer linear power supply , as well as implementing a classic bipolar transistor design delivering a robust bottom end . The CLA-400 ’ s convection-cooled design makes for silent operation . This means it can reside in the same location as the passive monitors to which it is providing power .
