Allen & Heath AHM-32 & AHM- 16 Audio Matrix Processors
Allen & Heath has announced two new AHM audio matrix processors , the AHM-32 and AHM-16 .
Harnessing technology from the AHM-64 , the AHM-32 and AHM-16 open up the platform to the full spectrum of installed audio environments – from a single boardroom to a complete campus – with emphasis on simplicity of programming and control , plus expandable audio networking and I / O capabilities . The AHM-32 is built on a 32 × 32 processing matrix with 12 local analog inputs and outputs , making it an ideal choice for multi-room installations . The AHM-16 features a 16 × 16 processing matrix with eight local analog inputs and outputs . Out of the box , the AHM-16 is wellsuited to single-room applications and smaller multi-room environments .
Both units benefit from a 96kHz I / O port for audio expansion and networking , enabling the use of a 64 × 64 Dante card for integration into Dante networks and connection to Allen & Heath ’ s range of Dante-equipped expanders . Alternatively , an SLink card can be fitted for plug-and-play connection to the company ’ s Everything I / O ecosystem of remote expanders . As well , a range of remote-control options are supported , including an array of PoE remote controllers and the BYOD-friendly Custom Control app , enabling tailored user interfaces for multiple user and device types .
QSC Q-SYS NL Series Network Loudspeakers
QSC has released the NL Series of loudspeakers for Q-SYS , which offers three enclosure types . They are all designed to deliver optimal speech and music reproduction for modern collaboration spaces . As the first QSC soundbar , the Q-SYS NL-SB42 is a 4-in ., two-way network PoE soundbar optimized for front-of-room audio in either horizontal or vertical orientations . Also part of the line are the Q-SYS NL-P4 4-in . full-range pendantmount PoE network loudspeaker to accommodate open-ceiling installations , and the Q-SYS NL-C4 is a 4-in . ceiling-mount PoE network loudspeaker for blind-mount finished ceiling applications .
The NL Series ’ complementary sonic characteristics make it possible for users to mix-and-match form factors . Integrators can utilize QSC ’ s Intrinsic Correction to simplify the tuning process using built-in custom QSC loudspeaker voicings delivered by Q-SYS . All NL Series models are PoE and PoE + capable , delivering audio data , power , and control over one network connection , reducing traditional cabling infrastructure costs and complexity while expediting deployment .
Daking Mic Pre 4T
Daking has introduced the Mic Pre 4T , which builds on the British sound of the Mic Pre One and Mic Pre II / T .
The Mic Pre 4T adds four variable high-pass filters to four high-gain / high-headroom mic pres in one rack space unit . Each preamp channel offers the full complement of controls , including 75dB of gain , + 24dB of headroom , variable high-pass filter ( from 10-200Hz ), front-panel DI , 48V phantom power , phase invert , and a 20dB pad along with a high-resolution 20-segment LED meter and + 25dB indicator .
The low-distortion Jensen input and output transformers offer more linear low-end performance under harsh dynamic conditions . Daking ’ s own variable high-pass filter dials out the low-frequency mud that can be subsonic and will decrease available headroom . Built in the U . S ., Daking says it uses high-end parts like Jensen input and output transformers in a high-end design using all-discrete transistor Class A circuitry . 24dB of headroom and easy-to-read 20-segment meters make proper gain staging easier and forgiving under a wider array of conditions .
