Audio-Technica Next Generation ES945 & ES947 Boundary Microphone Variations
Audio-Technica has introduced several new variations of its ES945 omnidirectional condenser boundary microphone and ES947 cardioid condenser boundary microphone , which it says were developed as a response to market feedback . All models are intended for surface flush-mount installation and include Audio-Technica ’ s UniGuard RFI-shielding for immunity from radio frequency interference .
First , the existing standard ES945 and ES947 models are being replaced by the ES945O / XLR ( omnidirectional ) and ES947C / XLR ( cardioid ), which feature upgraded functionality including IPX4 water resistance . The mics are designed for surface-mount applications such as conferencing , recording , monitoring , and other sound pickup applications .
Second , there are new miniature , space-saving variations called the ES945O / TB3 and ES947C / TB3 . These mics are suitable for the same applications as the ES945O / XLR and ES947C / XLR , but the ultra-compact design enables extra-inconspicuous tabletop , ceiling , and wall mounting .
Third , the existing ES945 / LED and ES947 / LED ( models intended specifically for conferencing ) are being replaced and upgraded by the ES945O / FM3 and ES947C / FM3 . These mics feature a highly-visible two-state RGB LED ring ( seven selectable colours plus Off ) to indicate mute status and a touch-sensitive capacitive user switch that enables local muting , making them ideal for conferencing applications .

Biamp Cambridge Qt X Series Sound Masking Solution
Biamp has introduced the Cambridge Qt X Series , which it says is the first sound masking solution to offer complete direct and indirect field sound masking in one user-friendly system .
The series is engineered to incorporate Biamp ’ s QtPRO direct-field and DynasoundPRO indirect technologies , making the Qt X ideally suited for office environments that require both system types in a single facility . The Qt X is easily interfaced with a building ’ s life-safety system out of the box , ensuring proper coordination during emergencies . Additionally , Qt X features built-in support for paging and background music sources . Sources connected to any Qt X controller can be routed to any other networked Qt X controller to be played within zones under its control , making building-wide paging and music distribution flexible and simple .
The series is available in eight models and supports Dante and AVB media distribution . It is compatible with existing Qt direct-field and DynasoundPRO indirect emitters . In addition , the new sound masking family integrates with Biamp ’ s portfolio of AV technologies , as well as third-party Dante-based devices .

Danley SM90 Full-Range Loudspeaker
Danley Sound Labs has introduced the SM90 , the latest addition to its SM Series of full-range loudspeakers . Like other members of the series , the SM90 uses the Synergy Horn technology from acoustician Tom Danley to deliver enhanced musicality , intelligibility , and impact .
The SM90 delivers a 90-degree conical coverage pattern and accommodates multiple mounting options from wall-mount to ceiling or suspension mounting to pan / tilt via threaded inserts on the rear of the cabinet when using the Adaptive Technologies MM-060 bracket . It delivers flat output from 63Hz to 24kHz ( -3dB ) and a frequency range of 40Hz to 30kHz ( -10dB ) with a coaxial 12-in . and 1-in . driver , allowing it to deliver 120 dB continuous and 126 dB peak output while handling 300-W continuous and 1,200-W peak . Another feature is the built-in Sentinel high-frequency protection circuitry .
At 55 lbs ., the Danley SM90 is built from Baltic birch with a polyurea coating and is available in standard black or white , with custom colours available .
