DCC Technology Rebrands Jam Industries as Exertis / Jam ; Marty Szpiro Promoted to President & CEO of Exertis North America
DCC Technology has announced the formation of a new business unit , Exertis North America , to manage the operations of its recent acquisitions Jam Industries and Stampede . With this move , Jam Industries is being rebranded as Exertis / Jam . The newly-branded company owns and operates many of Canada ’ s largest product distributors in MI , audio , and lighting / video , including Erikson Commercial , Erikson Audio , Erikson Pro , B & J Music , HPC , Coast Music , and Korg Canada .
It was also announced that Marty Szpiro , the long-time president and CEO of Jam Industries , is stepping up to serve as president and CEO of Exertis North America . Stuart Frenkel , Jam ’ s CFO , has been promoted to president of Exertis / Jam . Stampede , which rebranded as Exertis in 2020 , will operate under the Exertis Pro AV banner led by John Dunne , its president and managing director .
“ The acquisition of Jam Industries was a great success – with DCC Technology / Exertis clearly adding tremendous resources to our growth mission ,” says Szpiro . “ I see my new role as a great opportunity to unite a tremendous family of distribution companies into a single , powerful market force that delivers value and growth for all stakeholders .”
Exertis entered the North American market in 2018 with its purchase of Buffalo-based Stampede , a nationwide pro AV distributor . The same year , it acquired Montreal-based Jam
EXERTIS / JAM ’ S MARTY SZPIRO Industries , one of the largest pro audio , MI , and CE distributors in Canada and the U . S . Both businesses have since grown organically and by acquisition , including the acquisitions of JB & A in San Francisco and The Music People of Hartford , CT within the last year .

Prolight + Sound Announces 2022 Show Details , Including Focus on Greener Industry
Prolight + Sound has confirmed that from April 26-29 , 2022 , it will host hundreds of exhibiting companies , saying that there is a need for a large , comprehensive presence event in Europe . Organizers say this is reflected in the great interest shown by manufacturers .

The new Theater + Light Stage in Hall 12.0 presents a specialised program of lectures and gives suppliers of stage and lighting technology the opportunity to present their innovations at product demos .
Also , with the Green Event Day on April 27 th , the fair is offering for the first time a themed day all about the responsible use of natural resources .
