LightFair Welcomes Lighting Industry Back to In-Person Show
The LightFair Conference and Trade Show engaged the architectural and commercial lighting industry once again through the return of sourcing , in-person education , and networking events from Oct . 25 – 29 , 2021 , at the Jacob K . Javits Convention Center in New York .
LightFair ’ s five-day educational conference offered more than 35 sessions ranging from LightFair Institute and six tracks presented as 60- or 90-minute sessions . The tracks covered Application & Evidence-Based Design ; Art + Inspiration ; Design Tools + Techniques ; Experiencing Light ; Professional Development + Practice ; and Technology .
Over 200 exhibitors showcased the newest in lighting resources at this year ’ s three-day LightFair Trade Show . Companies showcased their products across five pavilions – Smart Pavilion , Design Pavilion , Outdoor Pavilion , The Collective , and the New Exhibitor Pavilion – and in individual booths .
Product innovation and booth display were recognized with two special onsite awards ; the annual LightFair Innovation Award , which celebrated 14 categories of the lighting industry ’ s most innovative products and designs introduced in the past 12 months ; and the Best Booth winners in four categories .
Three LightFair event locations – LightFair Live , the Special Events Area , and the Designery – showcased 45-plus educational and networking events , as well as guided tours across all five pavilions . LightFair Live featured seven presenters discussing topics such as : utilizing smart lighting , and understanding Bluetooth mesh . The Special Events Area , featuring seven of the industry ’ s leading membership organizations , was a collaborative space for networking with industry professionals through eight social events . The Designery offered 12 educational sessions covering topics such as : composing a winning award submittal ; lighting designed for sex ; and the LightFair mentorship Q & A panel .
Show organizers have now already opened exhibit space selection for LightFair 2022 . The show is moving to Las Vegas for its June 2022 conference and trade show , and exhibitors from the previous two shows will have the opportunity to select their placement in the exhibit hall in three appointment-based rounds .
