Atlona Promotes Adam Griffin to Director of Sales & Business Development
Atlona has promoted long-time Northeast Regional Sales Manager Adam Griffin to a North American sales leadership position . He assumes the director of sales and business development role vacated by Jamey Swigert , who recently became Atlona ’ s executive director . Griffin will report to Swigert and lead all North American inside and channel sales activities for Atlona ’ s commercial and residential AV markets .
Griffin will work closely with regional sales managers , distributors , and dealers in each territory , and oversee the sales engineering
ATLONA ’ S ADAM GRIFFIN department that works closely with Atlona partners and end users to design systems . One key objective is bringing the Atlona and Panduit teams closer together for sales and business development initiatives , which Griffin says will help all customers more effectively bridge AV systems with IT infrastructure .
“ The advantage to drive both the AV and IT networking standard with our common customers is extremely powerful , and a clear competitive differentiator for Atlona and Panduit ,” says Griffin . “ We have reached a new level of cooperation between the two brands that drives business back and forth . Griffin was one of Atlona ’ s first commercial AV regional sales managers to join the company in 2014 . He gradually built Atlona ’ s channel partner network for the northeast U . S . territory . Also responsible for residential AV sales for several years , Griffin has worked across all markets , verticals , and channels at Atlona for over seven years .

InfoComm Show Reunites the AV Industry In-Person
After 28 months without an in-person InfoComm show in North America , AVIXA welcomed the pro AV industry back together from Oct . 22-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando , FL , for InfoComm 2021 . The week brought people together to interact with technology and meet face-to-face , learn about the latest trends , celebrate industry leaders , and more .
The trade show floor doors officially opened on Oct . 27 th for pro AV buyers and sellers to meet and discuss business opportunities . Total registrations came to 14,017 , with 7,335 total in verified attendance . The show hosted 254 exhibitors and spanned across 124,100 sq . ft ., highlighting a desire for the industry to take its first steps in getting back to in-person , large-scale live events .
Education was at the forefront of the show – whether it be in classrooms or at the Technology Innovations Stage . Sean Wargo , AVIXA ’ s senior director of market intelligence , and Peter Hansen , economic analyst for AVIXA , gave a State of the Industry presentation , walking through the macroeconomic landscape , industry revenue forecasts , and supply chain issues . In this presentation , they gave an exclusive look at the new Market Opportunity Analysis Report dashboard , which surveys 1,500 to 2,000 buyers quarterly to gauge demand for AV products and services .
Over 90 courses were available throughout the week , including AVIXA ’ s Certified Technology Specialist ( CTS ) Prep Course . Many AV professionals took their CTS exams at the show , and a total of 44 professionals earned their CTS , 11 attained CTS-D ( Design ), and 15 became CTS-I ( Installation ).
InfoComm 2021 hosted 811 unique attendees in education sessions , from threeday classes before show opening , through dedicated conference tracks for collaboration and digital signage , to open sessions at the Technology Innovation Stage .
InfoComm 2021 also presented a virtual experience , which is now available on-demand until Nov . 30 th . It features an InfoComm Morning Show from each day that includes interviews with key speakers and industry experts . It also includes the recorded livestream of the Technology Innovation Stage , where 25 sessions were presented . Also available is the AVIXA Women ’ s Council keynote presentation .
