Blizzard G-Mix 200 CMY Moving Head Blizzard Lighting has released the G-Mix 200 CMY moving head. The fixture combines a sharp white beam together with the rich colour transitions of CMY colour mixing. The G-Mix 200 is powered by a 200-W OSRAM white LED engine that gives an extra punchy beam and has a 20,000- hour operation life expectancy. No relamping should be needed for the entire life of the fixture. Smooth colour transition and vibrant fixed colours can be applied from the G-Mix 200’s system of three colour wheels and rotating or static gobos can be added for projections and mid-air effects. Its smooth linear zoom can go from 42 de- grees down to 5 degrees to produce a piercing beam that can be trimmed with its fast stepless iris. It also features variable frost to create a gentle wash-like output or dynamic background projections. Chauvet Maverick MK2 Profile Chauvet Professional has introduced the Maverick MK2 Profile. The first profile light in the Maverick series, the 440-W LED moving yoke fixture has been designed to perform a wide variety of functions in theatrical, house of worship, touring, and event applications. With an illuminance of up to 14,981 lux at 5 m and a zoom angle of 14 to 36 degrees, the fixture has the output needed for large ven- ues and the ability to produce a range of beam sizes. Featuring a four-blade framing shutter system with rotation and dual axis movement for each shutter, the Maverick MK2 Profile allows users to precisely shape and size beams. The fixture’s iris, three-facet motorized rotating prism, and motorized frost provide added beam control. The Maverick MK2 Profile also features 16-bit master dimming for smooth control of fades, a 3:1 motorized zoom, a colour temperature of 5883 K (at full), a CRI of 90, electronic dimmer, a pan and tilt of 540/270 degrees, and selectable PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) for flicker-free operation. It is the first Clay Paky spotlight to use an LED light source instead of a traditional discharge lamp. Clay Paky has chosen to use a white LED engine with high luminous efficiency, total power of about 900 W, and luminous flux of 46,000 lumens (24,000-lumen output), and couple it with a system of dichroic filters to create the colours. The Axcor Profile 900 features a CMY colour mixing system with gradual-insertion filters, supported by a linear CTO correction device. The transition from one colour to another is designed to be smooth. Six pro- fessional-use colour filters are available on a separate wheel: dark red, bright blue, green, golden amber, navy blue, and a custom- designed filter to enhance the CRI. The Axcor Profile 900 also features six interchangeable high-definition rotating gobos, an animation wheel, a four-facet rotating prism, a 16-bit electronic dimmer, two levels of variable frost filters that simu- late a wash effect, and an iris with multiple built-in macros.
