Setting the Stage for an Iconic Franchise
Regardless of who emerges the victor on this season of CityTV ’ s Canada ’ s Got Talent , the technical performance is worthy of its own celebration – obviously bringing one of the world ’ s most popular talent shows back to the broadcast waves demands a high level of production , and all of the teams involved in making it happen
18 | Summer 2022 have done a splendid job . On the television side , this new season is being produced by Rogers , Fremantle , and McGillivray Entertainment Media Inc . ( MEMinc ), with the design and staging being executed by event production house InFrame Designs .
As for the taping site , it was imperative to find a venue that would offer an impressive sense of scale while not being so large as to downplay the production itself ; a properly elegant hall aesthetic was also essential due to live audience participation being a big part of the show . Ultimately , the Avalon Theatre at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls , ON was chosen . Of course , building a TV set inside a theatre is a bit of a different undertaking than working on a soundstage .
