Ayrton Diablo LED
Profile
Ayrton has released the ultra-com-
pact Diablo profile, the company’s
smallest, lightest, and most efficient
LED luminaire of its type. Weighing
just over 20 kg, the Diablo delivers 19,000
lumens from its 300-W source and matches
the ultra-compact Mistral in dimensions.
The Diablo’s miniaturized framing system uses
eight motors to accurately position its four blades across 100 per
cent surface area, enabling precision framing of any object regardless of
the luminaire’s position. The 119-mm frontal lens produces a uniform flat
beam with no hot spot that renders ideal images at any beam angle.
The Diablo shares the Mistral’s 13-element optical system to deliver
an 8:1 zoom ratio and produce a 6.7- to 53-degree zoom range. It
includes CMY colour mixing, a progressive CTO, and a wheel with seven
complementary colours for a large palette of bright pastels and saturated
colours. The effects section includes a wheel with seven interchangeable
HD glass gobos, a continuous dynamic effects wheel, 15-blade iris dia-
phragm, heavy frost filter, and five-facet indexable and circular rotating
prism.

ADJ Vizi CMY 16RX
Spot/Beam/Wash
Hybrid Moving Head
ADJ has released the Vizi CMY 16RX
spot/beam/wash hybrid moving head
fixture, which features dual prism
layering, gobo morphing of dual gobo
wheels, motorized zoom, and motorized focus.
Some of the fixture’s other professional features include: frost filter to
turn the hard edge beam to a wash; five- and 16-facet rotating prisms;
and stepper motors for quick and precise movement. The Vizi CMY 16RX
offers CMY colour mixing so designers can make custom colours. There
is also a colour wheel with nine colours plus white. The moving head
fixture is powered by the Philips Platinum 16R MSD discharge lamp
technology (8,000 K, 1,500 hrs.). This lamp allows the unit to be a punchy,
versatile fixture capable of wide washes of colour, mid-air beam effects,
and break-up textures.

Penn UltraFlite Flightcase Panels
Penn Elcom has introduced UltraFlite, a 100 per cent recyclable flightcase
panel material.
At 1.6 kg per sq. m., the UltraFlite material is around 80 per cent
lighter than traditional wood-ply flightcase panels, making it suitable for
the rental, staging, installation, touring, and venue sectors. The UltraFlite
panel’s skin features a honeycomb structure that makes it tougher, lighter,
more durable, and resistant to liquids and weather.
It has been created to meet the needs and demands of contempo-
rary and future flightcase builders, who can reduce case weight by 30 to
40 per cent on average.

Theatrixx Technologies has introduced the Reversible Converter system,
which is designed for high-end installations, rental, touring, broadcast,
or other applications requiring high-density video conversion and
processing.
Theatrixx says the future-proof Reversible Converter system is the
natural extension of the xVision Converter line. Its modular design
allows individual systems to be configured as needed and reconfigured
on-the-fly. There is a host of modules available— featuring SDI, HDMI,
fiber, HDBaseT, and more—with new modules being added regularly. All
modules can be inserted with inputs/outputs at either the front or the
back of the unit and are enclosed to protect against static shock, dust,
and general wear and tear.
Virtually uninterrupted uptime is engineered with power supplies
configured to switch over automatically in case of failure and LEDs at
the front of the unit to indicate status. Mains power is delivered via dual
locking PowerCON True1 connectors. Redundancy is built in to the eight-
bay, 3RU host unit, which features dual, oversized power supplies and
gold-plated, redundant spring pins with magnetic retention to power
the modules, eliminating fallible cabling and external DC adaptors.
