ETC will operate High End as a separate company located in
its c urrent Austin, TX facility. High End customers will continue to
contact the Austin office for sales and service, and sales distribution
channels worldwide remain the same for the foreseeable future.

LFI Highlights IoT & Connectivity
at 2017 Show
Lightfair International (LFI) returned to Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania
Convention Center from May 7-11, 2017, for its 28 th staging of the
world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade
show and conference.
Preceding and setting the stage for the trade show opening, the
LFI Innovation Awards highlighted the industry’s most innovative
products and designs introduced during the last 12 months.
For 2017, the conference program featured 75 courses, including
12 forum sessions as part of the IoT & Smart Lighting Forum and
Light & Health Forum. The former featured experts on controls, sen-
sors, and connectivity addressing both the potential and challenges
of IoT (Internet of Things) and whether smart lighting extends be-
yond using connectivity for energy efficiency and maintenance.
Sakchin Bessette, co-founder of Montreal-based Moment Factory,
presented his “Another Light” keynote while other keynote speakers
included theoretical physicist Dr. Michio Kaku and aerial sculpture
artist Janet Echelman.
Show organizers have also announced that LFI will move to
Chicago, IL next year, running from May 6-10, 2018.
