Making Its Grand Return in April

Following a two-year hiatus forced by the pandemic , CITT / ICTS is welcoming Canada ’ s live performance technology community back to Montreal for the sixth Expo-Scène trade show and conference . As before , it ’ ll be held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal on April 13 and 14 , 2022 . The event , which comprises a gear expo , educational programming , and networking opportunities , is Canada ’ s largest event dedicated to professionals in the pro audio , lighting , audiovisual , video , and multimedia technology markets .
“ I ’ m delighted to able to welcome back the Canadian live performance community to Expo-Scène 2022 after two years without this important show . We have missed meeting the exhibitors and attendees in-person and being able to make that personal connection ,” Matt Frankish , CITT / ICTS president , tells PL & P . “ There have been a lot of developments in performance technology in the last two years that I know I want to be able to get hands-on with and really understand the potential .”

We look forward to welcoming back our amazing exhibitors and the visitors to our sixth edition of Expo-Scène 2022 !” adds Monique Corbeil , CITT / ICTS national coordinator . “ As Canada ’ s leading entertainment show , it is exciting to be showcasing the latest technologies and know-how , and especially to reconnect with colleagues and friends after a two-year hiatus !”
Organizers are expecting more than 50 exhibitors , including six new exhibitors , and around 1,700 visitors from across Canada and the U . S . There will also be exclusive demos from Avid , d & b audiotechnik , GerrAudio , and Meyer Sound .
The TEC Talks educational program will be open to visitors over the course of the two-day show . Show hours are 10 a . m . to 5 p . m . on the first day , and 10 a . m . to 4 p . m . on the second day . Organizers are currently accepting TEC Talks proposals from interested companies and speakers . Presenting a 45- to 60-minute TEC Talk is free for show exhibitors and gives them an opportunity to share expertise with professionals in attendance on AV integration , lighting , staging , pro audio , special effects , video mapping , virtual reality , business solutions , stage rigging , or any other topic related to the industry . At the last show in 2019 , presentation topics included signal chains in live production , transitioning from traditional lighting towards LED , 3D conceptual production design , winches and control systems , and there was also a panel discussion on environmental responsibility in the live entertainment industry . Presentations are in English , French , or bilingual .
For out-of-town visitors , Expo-Scène is offering special rates at the nearby Hotel InterContinental Montréal , Holiday Inn Montréal Centre-Ville , and Le Westin Montréal . As well , Expo-Scène has partnered with Air Canada and Via Rail to offer 10 % discounts on tickets to and from Montreal in the days around and during the show .
Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 ( vaccine passport ) is now no longer required to enter the show . Mask-wearing indoors does remain mandatory .
