ADJ Link Controller
ADJ has introduced the Link lighting controller . It combines the processing power , wireless connectivity , and multitouch screen of an iPad with lighting-specific tactile controls and a four-universe DMX interface to deliver a unique control solution .
The platform includes an extensive fixture library , making it easy to set up for different shows and equipment configurations . Its tools allow for the easy creation of complex movements , colour chase effects , colour mixing , custom movement shapes , and allows an iPad ’ s memory to be utilized for storing custom scenes and shows that can be recalled when required .
To augment the iPad ’ s screen interface , the Link hardware offers four large rotary encoder wheels with push-in selection and eight 100-mm channel / submaster faders , together with an additional master fader with a dedicated blackout button . Each fader is also paired with a dedicated rotary control , also with push-in selection , as well as a pair of page playback buttons .
A matrix of 32 buttons provide instant access to specific scenes , fixtures , or effects , while page scroll buttons – together with a two-digit backlit LCD display – make it easy to keep track of a large quantity of scenes . Finally , dedicated buttons provide quick access to each of the app ’ s main screens and an additional set of buttons provide shortcut control of key app functions .

Kramer VS-211X 2x1 Auto Switcher
Kramer Electronics is now shipping the VS-211X , which is a 2x1 automatic switcher for 4K HDR , HDMI video signals .
Offering priority and last-connected switching options , it automatically switches according to the selected switching scheme based on active video signal detection using intelligent EDID algorithms . Manual switching is also available .
The HDCP 2.3-compliant unit supports deep colour ; x . v . Color ; CEC ; lip sync ; HDMI uncompressed audio channels ; Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD ; and 2K , 4K , and 3D as specified in HDMI 2.0 . Additionally , it can run up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital stereo for supporting studio-grade surround sound . Digital audio passing through to the HDMI output is de-embedded , allowing playback on locally-connected speakers parallel to the AV acceptor device .
Operation is made simple with local buttons , or remotely connected contactclosure buttons flexible user input selection and switching control . Status LED indicators for the unit ’ s HDMI ports facilitate easy maintenance and troubleshooting , while local firmware upgrades ensure lasting deployments .
The unit features a compact DigiTools fanless enclosure for table-mounting , or side-by-side mounting of three units in a 1U rack space using the recommended rack adapter .

Imaginary Labs Carbon for Unreal
Imaginary Labs has released Carbon , a premium DMX visualization plug-in for the Unreal Engine .
Compatible with Unreal Engine 4.25 , 4.26 , and Pixotope 1.4.2 , Carbon allows users to create , render , rehearse , and broadcast show designs in real time . The subscriptionbased plug-in offers an extensive and constantly evolving library of assets including light fixtures , trusses , speakers , special effects , and stages . Carbon also allows users to import designs from other software and import data from CSV files on top of its own built-in creation tools .
Carbon ’ s light system provides very accurate visualization , modelling all the features of a variety of lighting fixtures , including multiple gobo wheels ( rotating and static ), calibratable CMY and RGB colour mixing , animation wheels , iris , zoom , prism , multi-plane focus , multi-instance lamps , and more .
