IALD Enlighten Americas Postponed to 2023
The International Association of Lighting Designers ( IALD ) is rescheduling the Enlighten Americas 2021 conference to November 2-4 , 2023 . The event is still slated to take place at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel in Banff , AB . IALD ’ s decision comes as a result of the continued uncertainty in Canada around the pandemic , including Canadian travel restrictions and the country ’ s rules about in-person events .
The IALD Enlighten Conferences are a series of boutique education and networking events for lighting designers and the lighting community that take place in the Americas , Asia , and Europe .
This year , IALD Japan will host Enlighten Asia 2021 in Tokyo , Japan from November 10-11 , 2021 both online and in-person . Enlighten Americas 2022 will be held in Palm Springs , CA from September 29 th to October 1 st , 2022 .

InfoComm 2021 Rescheduled for October
AVIXA is has announced that InfoComm 2021 , which was scheduled to take place from June 12-18 , will be postponed to October 23-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando , FL .
The organization began considering new dates for InfoComm 2021 in January , when it was unclear what the COVID-19 situation in the United States would look like by June . They believe that the country will be further along in its efforts to combat the pandemic by October , making that a safe time to put on an event like InfoComm . After gathering feedback from key stakeholders , AVIXA found overwhelming support for the idea of postponing the event . Because postponing InfoComm 2021 leaves gaps in AVIXA ’ s summer programming , they aim to make up for it with continued initiatives to bring their community together for engagement , business development , and networking opportunities , where patrons can engage with peers , and kickstart businesses .
Integrated Systems Europe ( ISE ) and InfoComm 2021 are committed to doing everything possible to deliver safe and meaningful events in Barcelona , Spain in June and Orlando in October , as they are unique shows in separate geographies , both with a shared passion for AV and integrated experiences .
