Solotech provided the live production solutions and services while Luz Design handled the production
design for the 2019 Polaris Music Prize gala, where Haviah Mighty’s 13 th Floor was named the best Canadian
album of the year. Held at The Carlu in Toronto, the event featured performances from most of the 10 shortlisted
artists before the winner was announced. Led by project manager Mike Smythe, the Solotech Toronto team
provided audio, video, lighting, rigging, and soft goods solutions and services. They supplied Ayrton Mistral
LED spot fixtures, GLP Impression X4 wash fixtures, and GLP JDC-1 LED Strobes. On the video side, the Solotech
package included a SACO S6 LED video wall, Martin Sceptron10 LED fixtures, and large-venue Christie 30K
HD projectors.
