Prolight + Sound 2020 Postponed Due to
Coronavirus Concerns
Due to growing concerns over the spread of Covid-19, commonly known
as coronavirus, organizers have delayed the 2020 editions of the Prolight +
Sound and Musikmesse trade fairs in Frankfurt, Germany. Originally set to run
March 31-April 3, Prolight + Sound will now take place May 26-29, 2020 and visi-
tor admission tickets will remain valid. New dates have not yet been announced
for Musikmesse.
“The current situation represents a major challenge for fair and exhibition
companies from all over the world. We regret that the 25 th anniversary edition of
Prolight + Sound cannot take place as planned,” says Detlef Braun, Member of the
Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “At the same time, we are delighted
that numerous companies from the industry have emphasized the importance
of holding the show as soon as possible so that they can use it for their product
presentations and business development activities this year.”

Comweb Corporation Sells William F White International to Ashtead Group
Paul Bronfman and Comweb Corporation have sold William F White International (Whites) to Ashtead Group
through an affiliate of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sunbelt Rentals of Canada. Whites is Canada’s oldest and
largest rental provider of production equipment, services, and studio facilities to the motion picture, television,
and digital media industries. Whites operates out of 13 locations across Canada and has over 450 employees.
Comweb says the sale of Whites to Sunbelt will further support and accelerate growth, which is being
fueled by the growing demand for media content worldwide via streaming services.
“As Canada’s production industry undergoes exponential growth, Whites faces the most exciting opportunity in the
company’s history over the next few years. I felt it was time for Whites to align itself with a firm that has the resources,
scale, and culture to create growth opportunities for our employees,” says Whites Chairman and CEO Paul Bronfman.
Bronfman will continue in his role as CEO through April 2020 to aid in the transition.
