Creativ Nation (formerly known
as Le Diplomate) used SGM’s
outdoor-rated P-2 and P-5 wash
light fixtures for a crane illumina-
tion project in Montreal. Creativ
Nation’s client wanted to put
promotional emphasis on a new
30-story retirement tower that was
under construction. Their goal was
to beautifully illuminate the crane
structures while not hindering
the construction process. The LED
fixtures were the ideal solution
because of their DMX technology,
low power consumption, bright and
powerful output, and ability to fit
into the limited space.
Place Bell, the new multi-purpose sports facility in suburban Montreal, has opened with an IP-centric infrastructure featuring a large com-
plement of Luminex GigaCore switches. Place Bell’s 10,000-seat main arena is the home of the American Hockey League’s Laval Rockets
and also hosts concerts and other entertainment events. The facility also houses a 2,500-seat rink with Olympic-size ice for professional figure
skating and speed skating and a 500-seat rink for local ice hockey teams. All the live audio, video, broadcasting, and lighting in the venue runs
over IP using Luminex switches. Solotech handled the integration of the arena’s video systems, LED screens, lighting, and intercoms, while
TKNL was responsible for integrating all the audio and closed-circuit video. Trizart Alliance was the project consultant.
