Luminex has launched the GigaCore 30i , it ’ s new 10Gb Ethernet switch dedicated to AV integration , installation , and touring .
With its 10Gb connectivity , the GigaCore 30i allows full network convergence of lighting control , audio , intercom , and compressed video . Pre-configured Quality of Service ( QoS ), IGMP multicast , and PTPv2 settings will assure a responsive and extremely stable network environment for the most demanding time-critical audio protocols like Dante , AES67 , Q-SYS , and many others , without the need for any IT knowledge , according to the company .

ARRI has unveiled the ALEXA 35 , a 4K Super 35 camera for advanced digital cinematography .
ARRI ’ s first new sensor in 12 years builds on the evolution of the Alexa family over that period , delivering 2.5 stops more dynamic range , better low light performance , and richer colours . The new Reveal Color Science takes full advantage of the sensor ’ s image quality , while ARRI Textures enhance in-camera creativity . Easy operation , robust build quality , new accessories , and a complete new mechanical support system round out the Alexa 35 platform .
With more dynamic range , contrast , and sensitivity , the Alexa 35 measures at 17 stops of dynamic range ( exposure latitude ). Having 1.5 stops more in the highlights and one stop more in the shadows than previous Alexa cameras , while retaining the naturalistic film-like highlight roll-off , will be game-changing for filmmakers . Sophisticated stray-light suppression in the camera and lens mounts ensures that the full contrast range and character of each lens are captured by the sensor . Together , the increased dynamic range and stray light control make it easier to handle any lighting conditions on set , increase flexibility in post , and provide the best source for HDR ( High Dynamic Range ) projects .
High End Systems , an ETC company , has introduced the SolaPix 19 XT wash luminaire , an IP 65-rated SolaPix 19 designed specifically for indoor and outdoor events . It utilizes a weatherproof housing and sealed glass front lens to deter the ingress of dust , water , and other liquids .
The company says the SolaPix family takes the traditional concept of a pixel wash and pushes it to its maximum potential . With a wide variety of looks to help set the mood , SolaPix features an additive LED , RGBW colour-mixing system for extremely powerful saturated colours and tunable white control , a versatile 4.5-60 degree zoom range , FleX effects engine , and pixel mapping on all models .
