LaserAnimation Sollinger Acquires Ray Technologies ( RTI )
LaserAnimation Sollinger GmbH has acquired another manufacturer in the show laser industry ; Ray Technologies GmbH . Ray Technologies , better known by its brand RTI , and LaserAnimation Sollinger say they complement each in product portfolio , market segments , and research and development .
Both LaserAnimation Sollinger and Ray Technologies are internationally well known in the show and event industry . The two production sites in Bavaria and Berlin , Germany , are staffed by highly-specialized employees with many years of experience . LaserAnimation Sollinger is ISO-certified and it will also continue this quality level in the new company union .
The customers of both laser manufacturers are similar , but cover different market segments in the high-end sector . The merger will lead to a broader coverage in the professional market . In addition , resources and synergies can be shared as a result of the fusion . These effects are significant , especially in the field of R & D , which supports the development of the product range and it also enables completely new product segments . A new business unit in the field of special effects lighting has already been established and is working on some new projects for the show industry .
Both locations will be kept , as well as all existing jobs , which has now already increased the number of employees to about 40 . Additional employees are currently being recruited for newly-created jobs , according to LaserAnimation . The focus and concentration on customers who are operating in the premium laser segment is easier through the integration of Ray Technologies into LaserAnimation Sollinger , the companies say .

Elation Professional ’ s atmospheric effects brand , Magmatic , has welcomed atmospheric FX specialist Joey Olaerts to its team . Olaerts will work with Elation ’ s R & D and sales teams to ensure that

current Magmatic products meet customers ’ needs , as well as conduct product research , testing , and viability studies to develop and market new atmospheric effects solutions .
Designed , engineered , and exclusively distributed by Elation , Magmatic specialty effects encompass haze , fog , snow , CO2 cryogenic simulation , and UV LED lighting products , along with a line of specially-formulated effect fluids . Olaerts will also be overseeing the atmospheric product line from Elation sister company , ADJ .
Olaerts is a fog machine aficionado who founded Fog It Up !, a fog , haze , and snow fluid company , while in college . The company expanded over nearly a decade to include lighting and sound before being acquired by Antari Lighting and Effects . Olaerts comes to Magmatic from Antari where he worked as a sales representative while setting up its fluid production facility .
