Obsidian Netron DMX10 AB Splitters
Obsidian Control Systems has announced the newest addition to its Netron product range of data distribution devices . With the introduction of the DMX10 splitters , it now offers a solution for simpler systems that require rugged hardware , flexible configuration , and reliable DMX traffic management at a lower price point .
The Netron DMX10 is a flexible , rackmount , 10-port DMX splitter with dual inputs and freely-assignable XLR DMX outputs . Available with five-pin XLR connectors ( DMX10-5 ) or as a three-pin unit ( DMX10-3 ), the DMX10 is easy to configure and is ideally suited for installations and live event applications that do not require RDM communication . Both Netron DMX10 devices are ETL approved .
The DMX10 boosts and distributes the DMX signal from dual inputs to 10 separate port outputs . Utilizing long-life toggle switches , each port is easily routed to either the A or B input , providing configuration flexibility . Each output is optically isolated from the others , providing protection in the event of a short . The DMX10 can also be used as a repeater when transportation of a DMX signal across longer distances is needed .
GLP Fusion Stick FS16Z
German Light Products ( GLP ) has introduced the weatherproof Fusion Stick FS16Z with the new Halo-Diffuser Ring . The new fixture is designed to provide enhanced pixel visibility and sharp beams even from acute camera angles .
The Fusion Stick FS16 Z , is a contemporary LED batten in a weatherproof ( IP65 ) design . It can be connected to produce seamless lines , but also , thanks to halo diffuser rings , can be placed in front of individual light sources to produce a new optical effect . The FS16 Z is based on the Fusion Stick FS20 with identical dimensions , so all FS20 accessories are also compatible with the FS16 Z .
The Fusion Stick FS16 Z is populated with 16 x 20W RGBW LEDs , and a motorized zoom that ranges from 8-40 degrees . The 1m long battens are only 9.3 in . high , 3.5 in . deep , and , despite the weatherproof design in the high-quality die-cast aluminium housing , weighs 18.6 lbs . Its halo diffuser ring is particularly relevant to the TV and studio markets .
