Ross Video XPression M7 Hardware Platform & V8 XPression Software
Ross Video has launched the XPression M7 hardware platform, which has been designed to address the changing needs
of graphics customers.
This new version, with a smaller 2 RU footprint, offers improved scalability so users
can more easily upgrade from single channel up to Quad-Link UHD/4K. SMPTE IP stan-
dards are also supported using the same base hardware. In addition, all upgrades are
software licenses.
Users have a choice between additional channels of graphics or baseband video
preview outputs using the XPression M7 hardware, depending on software editions.
Also launched is V8 of the XPression software. A major component of this latest version is
Tessera SE, a single-engine edition of Ross Video’s multi-engine graphics control system. Adding Tessera SE
to an XPression engine helps users with dynamic display needs not addressed by traditional graphics engines.

Ayrton Ghibli LED Spotlight
Ayrton is now shipping the Ghibli, the company’s first LED spotlight.
The Ghibli is factory-equipped with a framing system and delivers 23,000 lumens of output from a 600-W source
with an 80 per cent efficiency, which makes it powerful enough for large arenas. An optional High TM30/CRI Mode can
be implemented for situations demanding even higher-quality light output. It’s designed to create a crisp, clean, and
uniform beam with no hotspot and high centre-to-edge uniformity across the whole field, along with a fat, even beam,
making the Ghibli also suitable for theatres.
It has 8:1 zoom from seven to 56 degrees, and other features include CMY colour mixing, variable CTO, and a
complete effect section, including two gobo wheels, a prism, an animation wheel, two frosts, and a rotating framing
system that allows a full wipe.
