I am writing to you to display my interest in the Junior Interior Designer role that you currently have a vacancy for. I am applying to your company specifically because some of your past projects that I have seen are truly inspirational, and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, I particularly like “The Ministry” because of the modern industrial vibes and your office space “The Department Store” because of the stripped back approach to the design, highlighting the historical elements of the building which is a style I’m very interested in. I am a hardworking, enthusiastic individual who can work to deadlines while enjoying the task at hand, and I enjoy working in a team. During my previous employment, I learnt vital skills that have influenced who I am today, for example I have developed customer service skills through working in retail and because of this / I am much more confident around colleagues, as well as having a years’ experience in the interior design and architecture industry through my placement year at BTL Property in London. This taught me many skills including, presenting to clients confidently, specifying design elements that work within a scheme and communicating within a team. Overall, I have found my experience at university very rewarding, the experience has given me many skills such as the ability to accept and learn from criticisms, as well as had the opportunity to learn a range of industry software which I am proficient in, but also very keen to learn these programmes in more detail to get the best overall results in my work. I am now keen for a chance to engage and develop my skills in industry and would love the opportunity to do so at Squire and Partners.
