Paulette Turner was born in Nassau , Bahamas in 1980 where she grew up an attended St . Augustine ’ s College high school . She later received her Bachelor ’ s degree in Accounting from Saint Mary ’ s University , Halifax , Nova Scotia , Canada in 2001 , and a Master degree in Business Administration from Dalhousie University , Halifax , Nova Scotia , Canada in 2007 .
She is a certified public accountant ( C . P . A ) in the state of New Hampshire . Paulette started her career at Pricewaterhouse Cooper in Nassau , Bahamas in 2001 and later worked for Ernst & Young in Halifax , Nova Scotia , Canada .
In 2008 she joined Security & General Insurance Company ( S & G ), a property & casualty insurer that writes approximately $ 25 million in premium . Paulette started S & G as Financial Controller and in 2017 became Security & General ’ s first female General Manager .
Paulette currently lives with her husband and 3 young children . She balances a demanding career with a busy home life . “ It ’ s sometimes challenging but I feel it ’ s important to show my kids especially my daughter that a woman can have a family and a career without compromising either one .” Paulette is an avid reader and loves traveling .
