2. Full Scale Diaphragm System Tests
Full scale diaphragm system tests are used to determine
the strength and stiffness of a larger steel deck diaphragm
assembly directly. The data is analyzed and fit in a predictive
model to address varying configurations of base steel, steel
deck, specific fastener combinations and spans. These tests
are conducted in accordance with the following standards and
shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5.

• AISI S907 Cantilever Test Method for Cold-Formed
Steel Diaphragms
• ASTM E455 Standard Test Method for Static Load
Testing of Framed Floor or Roof Diaphragm
