It has been six years since we opened the doors of the Youth Resource Centre to youths of our community, Bonny. We set out with a goal which was very clear to us, to be a world class youth centre, raising role models and leaders in the society. We strongly believe that by molding the minds of the youths through positive and educative media, we will be securing a more peaceful and prosperous community in the future.
We have continued to see the impact the Centre is having in the lives of these young ones and today, we boast of a number of youths who have their self-esteem restored, confidence built and their sense of capacity redefined. We are proud to see those who had no sense of leadership become leaders in their various spheres whether at schools or homes.
The Centre is at the front of leading change in the society, changing the narrative of negativity associated with the youths of this generation. We engage them daily with various life transforming activities in the different youth clubs that we have running.
The Teens Clubs is a place where we address issues around their growing up, Ladies Time-Out is a club for young ladies, mentored by seasoned women of repute in the society, Erudite Clan is raising spoken word poets while the Playhouse is helping to nurture those with acting talents.
