I remember the first time I heard about the spelling bee competition for 2019, I had a very strong positive feeling about it and was going to try my best to get into the 6th round. I really wanted to improve on my spelling skills so I decided to put in all my efforts into preparing. I got the list of words from the previous spelling bee editions and practiced with them, infact my dictionary became my second favourite book after my bible.
It was a whole new experience for me because I had never been involved in anything like this before and it was a really tight period as well being that I also had to prepare for my Junior NECO and state BECE exams. I started attending the lessons that were conducted at the center for all the participants.. I prayed a lot and prepared just as much.
